This cabin tent is best for family outings or friends’ adventure. Since this can accommodate numerous people, space won’t be a struggle for you, however, what we dislike is the maximum capacity it can cater may not be advisable to follow. You really need to reduce that 16 persons to properly fit and provide comfort for everyone.
Based on our experience, this tent may not be able to perfectly protect you from the rain because of the number of windows. The openings can cause leaks inside the tent. Same with the height, we do not recommend to use it in intense windy conditions as the tent may collapse.

Cabin tents are originally designed for a roomy interior. This tent can accommodate 16 persons. Best when used together with numerous companions like your family and friends. It won’t be a concern if you are seeking a spacious area since this is a really large tent. From our perspective during our evaluation of this tent, the features only lead to support limited seasons only. More likely summer season or hot weather. We said so because of the mesh design and the number of openings of the tent.
All in all, there are 9 windows and two doors. If you examine it closely, this can be a disadvantage in cold or windy weather. Imagine your tent allows the temperature and wind inside your tent. That would be very uncomfortable because your tent is supposed to protect you from this weather.
Another weakness we found in this tent is the height. It is a red flag if you are going to places with windy conditions. There is a big possibility that it will collapse.
The fabric of this tent is 1200mm polyester with a polyethylene floor which is a waterproof material and taped rainfly seams. We agree it can handle rain but a reminder from what we mentioned, it is not advisable to be utilized in very rainy situations because of the openings. It can prevent water but the features will oppose this.

Durability
We already stated that the fabric of the tent is created with 1200 mm Polyester which is waterproof. Not only tall and large, but it can also endure rainfall. On the other hand, the fly is quite small and it can only conceal the top part of the tent so the tent is kind of revealing.
The number of windows and doors are the positive features that Tahoe Gear offers in this tent however these can also be the cause of its fragility. Many openings are equal to a huge probability of water leaks and cooler temperatures.
The fabric used on the floor is polyethylene which is also waterproof material. That’s an added asset to be noted.
For the poles, this cabin tent is structured with 10 steel leg poles and 5 fiberglass poles on the roof. They are installed with clips and rings at the bottom. We discussed from our previous reviews that the fiberglass poles are not that durable if they are forcefully bent. It may result in damages that will handicap your tent.
